Object condition
Unused vintage deadstock that has been gently washed. The soft, lightweight and breathable cloth may show scattered blue printing specks, slight print-density changes, subtle woven irregularity, yarn slubs and fuzzy fibres. One section of the roll also carries an old handwritten or stamped ink mark.
Identification notes
The supplied listing believes the cloth to come from the Nantong area of Jiangsu and dates it broadly to the 1960s–1970s, based on narrow width, woven texture and older printing style. Exact workshop, production year and dye composition are not documented.
Large blue peony bouquets sit over a dotted geometric lattice. The printed blue specks visible in close view are described as part of the original printing process rather than later stains.
The fabric is soft, lightweight and breathable. Its traditional handspun-style cotton surface retains a light texture and is expected to soften further with use and washing.
Suggested uses include blouses, shirts, loose summer clothing, skirts, robes, light jackets, cushion and quilt panels, table runners, narrow curtains, bags, pouches, patchwork, slow stitching, wall hanging and folk-textile display.
At approximately 46 cm wide, larger projects may require multiple narrow panels to be joined.
The old handwritten or stamped mark appears only on one section of the roll and is not included in every cut. Care from the supplied listing: wash separately in cool water with mild detergent, avoid bleach and long soaking, and air dry in shade; some blue colour release may still occur in early washes.

The unusually long recorded length allows the repeated peony-and-lattice relationship to be read as a continuous textile rather than a single fragment.
